Clark came flying back through the window, dressed as Superman. He
didn't understand why he couldn't stop -- it just didn't make sense!
"It was a false alarm," he began. "But the weirdest thing happened -- I
couldn't *stop*."
Lois looked at him for a moment, puzzled as he spun back into his
previous state of undress. "Sweetheart," she began, "have you thought
that it might not have really been a false alarm? Remember the tests
that Lex put you through after you created Superman?" At his nod, she
continued. "Maybe someone set off the alarm to test you again... or
test something on you."
"It's possible," he agreed.
"Promise me you'll go to Dr. Klein in the morning and get checked out?"
she asked. "You can also get him to give you one of those special
kryptonite Geiger counters that he's been playing with."
"Okay," Clark said with a sigh.
The next morning, he went straight to Dr. Klein and borrowed one of the
Geiger counters. In a few hours, he caught Jerry with the red
kryptonite. Soon, he even managed to catch Mr. Wizard and his bumbling
son due to the fact that the kid had accidentally left behind evidence
at the scene of the theft from the evidence lock up.
The End.
